![]() ![]() Do you have any info about the technical issues you pointed to refuse tiny after the work done? It's something I never understood. It's completely true that tiny has a "weight challange" but it's a really good development, extremely active, that we can easily adapt to moodle needs and extend with plugins. So I suggest include it "outofthebox", but updated to last tinyMCE versions (that include Safari support) in a compressed (gziped) version. The differences? I believe will be better to recover tinyMCE as far as heviest part of the work was done. I was also really concerned about moodle with a discontinued htmlarea, so I did some research arriving to same overview and quite similar conclusion. But I just thought that having done the above research, I should document it somewhere. Well, I might have a quick look at Xinha to see if upgrading from HTMLarea to that is the easiest way to fix MDL-7043. I am afraid I am absolutely not volunteering to do any of this. However, integration with other editors could be moved to contrib, so people who really want to change can download another one. As I see it, we just want one that works, and once we have chosen one, it is silly to spend effort providing long-term support for more than one. Ideally, we would end up with only one editor in Moodle core. Ideally, we would integrate all three, then do a side-by-side comarison. Then, I think we need to look at integrating the latest versions of one of the above editors. That will let us know how much work needs to be done to integrate another editor into Moodle in the same way. I don't think it is a good idea for us to continue using a discontinued editor component, so what needs to be done:įirst, I think we need to work out exactly what Moodle-specific changes were made the the versions of HTMLarea and TinyMCE that are currenly in our code base. They all want to extend support to Safari and Opera, but the FCK site has a nice explanation why that is not really possible, and the constructive steps being taken to change the situation: These three options all only support Firefox and IE. I once talked to some people who had successfully got FCK editor working with moodle, and they said it was easy. Available under of choice of GPL, LGPL or MPL licences. It is licensed under the old HTMLarea license, which is a variant of the BSD licence.įCK Editor: Also actively developed with the most recent release 14th June 2007. Xinha: thanks to the magic of open source, when the original makers discontinued HTMLarea, the community stepped in and continiued development under this new name (Xinha is not HTMLarea). ![]() TinyMCE is still under active development (last release 14th May 2007), and gets a rating of 8.92 from 117 votes. ![]() Trying to find out what had happened to HTMLarea, I discovered that is now a site that lists other HTML editor components, most of which are commercial, however, there are three leading open-source options: This is good for Moodlers, but makes it harder for us to switch to another editor. I'm not entirely sure, but I think the issue might be that despite the name, TinyMCE is huge, and leads to slow download times.Īlso, I think that we have done some Moodle-specific customisations to HTMLarea, for example making it possible to choose course files in the insert image dialogue box. There are various technical reasons stopping us from switching to TinyMCE by default. So when it comes to bugs like MDL-7043, we are on our own. That is, it is no longer available for download, or meing actively developed. The bad news is that HTMLarea has been 'discontinued'. lib/editorlib.php supports this, and makes different types of editors plug-in-able. Moodle ships with two HTML editor components: HTMLarea, which is enabled by default, and TinyMCE, which you can choose to use instead on the admin screens. ![]()

![]() ![]() Garner’s long-awaited return-to-form deserved better than this over-obvious bit of franchise bait.ĭon’t worry she’ll be fine! Jennifer Gardner in “Peppermint. But a woman doing all the ludicrous stuff that Liam Neeson normally does in the Taken series is the only thing that makes this outing any different from any other flick of its ilk, and that’s not enough to make it a standout even in this overstuffed and repetitive genre. ![]() They certainly didn’t bother to come up with a plot that makes much logical sense, as Garner’s character is all but superhuman considering the beatings she survives, all while taking on drug cartels, the FBI and the LAPD simultaneously. We’ve certainly seen this kind of thing before, and really the only addition to the formula is that it’s a woman doing all this butt-kicking and not a guy. We can talk about our favorite moments in Mad Max: Fury Road or the John Wick series, but has there been a more influential semi-recent action film than TakenThe Luc Besson-produced potboiler. But everything else is as unbelievable as it is in any one-man army flick. The bad news is she’s also in a movie that is as ridiculous as it is occasionally clever incorporating social and news media into its plot, and scripting in some misleads to keep things interesting. Her action sequences are well-choreographed, bloody, and brutal.Īll of which makes sense for an R-rated revenge flick. But now, more than two years later, and the Jennifer Garner-led. And it’s that last mode that made her famous initially, and she returns to it with relish, complete with all the accompanying R-rated language and violence. Peppermint didn't exactly set the box office on fire after debuting in theaters to generally negative reviews in September 2018. The good news is that Garner fully commits to the role in every way: she’s all bubbly, soccer-mom smiles before the tragedy, then crushed in its aftermath, and finally steely in her eventual revenge. According to some unearthed, sketchy YouTube videos, she apparently used those lost years to learn all the dark ways of dealing death, including hand-to-hand combat and weapons-training, virtually all of which happens off-screen. She reappears on the anniversary of her family’s death to personally mete the justice that The System failed to deliver. She herself then goes free in a fashion disappearing and “going off grid” for five years. She is also injured in the hail of gunfire, and after an extended recovery in the hospital, she awakes in time to see her assailants go free on a technicality. Garner plays Riley North, a wife and mother who loses both her husband and only daughter to a drive-by shooting. Given how efficient she was at this, it seems Moises (who's disenchanted with his corrupt department) recognizes he'll need help when the Mexicans come back, which paints a possible relationship similar to DC's Commissioner Jim Gordon and Batman. From “Taken” director Pierre Morel (surprise!) comes Peppermint, an action thriller starring rom-com favorite Jennifer Garner back in full-on “Alias” mode. She knows they're Diego's bosses, so she can now hunt them to cut the head off the snake. However, Ortega may not even have to hunt Riley because Moises' gifting her freedom means she'll be looking for them. But to continue peddling the cartel's drugs, he'll have to find and kill the vigilante, especially as she knows their business inside out. With Diego failing and getting eliminated, Ortega is perfectly positioned to come in and restore order to the LA arm of their operations. He knows they have a deadly enemy, and he trusts Diego to fix things as Riley's raids were hurting their business big time. The tension rises when Diego's henchmen interrupts the meeting to tell him that Riley's been killing their people, which Ortega overhears and grows furious over. The cartel's unknown boss sent his son Ortega (Michael Reventar) to speak to Diego about two incidents and warn him that as big as he is in LA, he's still a puppet they installed there. Earlier in the film, Riley was hijacking the cartel's drug shipments to get them ticked off at Diego, who was responsible for selling them. ![]() ![]() The set of configuration options included in Disk Savvy won’t give you any trouble at all. However, the analysis procedure is not compromised because the app will show you the report for the data already parsed. Should you handle locations with a larger number of files, you’ll be prompted to upgrade to the pro version ($9.99). It is worth noting that this edition cannot process more than 100,000 files and reports can’t be saved. It does a wonderful job, in quite little amount of time, but the limitations of the freeware version are definitely a nag that users have to withstand. If you need to open selected locations in Windows Explorer, Disk Savvy will do it as well. Moreover, moving, copying or deleting data with Disk Savvy simplifies file management a lot. On the upside, once the analysis is complete, you can navigate freely from one folder to another and view the number of files contained and the total size (percentage as well). This is definitely not too comfortable for the average user who wants a clean interface with clear options and functions available, without the frustrating upgrade screen. “Rules” tab present in the freebie’s interface is actually restricted for the upgraded version of the software. The profile settings will be automatically displayed permitting you to build up the inclusion and exclusion lists as you like.įurther configuration of the profiles provides the possibility to set a default performance mode out of the three available (Full, Medium and Low Speed) and the file scanning mode (sequential or parallel). In order to achieve this, all you have to do is choose the drive the folder is located on and proceed with analyzing. It may prove to be a real time and disk space saver when you want to pinpoint the largest files in a folder. The opposite function, that of checking out the size only of certain directories, is also present in Disk Savvy. Different profiles with custom exclusion lists can be created for each partition available to the system, thus allowing you to perform a disk space analysis only for the folders you can delete something from. This is possible thanks to the multiple profile support included in the program. But the best part is that all these locations can be saved by the application for ulterior uses. Obviously, you can add as many paths in there as you wish. However, even this simple Disk Savvy provides the possibility to create an exclusion list where you can add any folder you do not wish to be part of the report. Basic work with the program consists in simply picking the partition or folder you want to have a size report on and start the procedure. ![]() Simplicity really paid off in this case, offering you an easy way of calculating the size of all the files and folders on a partition and nothing more. ![]() The configurable interface with no room for bells and whistles makes handling all the options and working with the application a walk in the park. It comes as a freebie with trimmed down capabilities compared to the Pro version, which can handle a significantly larger number of files, lets you save analysis reports and analyze specific file types. Besides its basic purpose, the application can also handle file operations such as copying, moving or deleting data. Tracking the files that take the most space is a very time consuming task unless you have the right tools to automatically retrieve the information.ĭisk Savvy is a tool specially built for analyzing disk space, giving you a broken down report of the files and folders taking the largest chunks. Image files, video and audio content are the first responsible for high storage necessities, followed by digital books and other sorts of documents. All the rich media content available for download nowadays easily gulps up the free disk space we have on the system. ![]() ![]() ![]() Use the join command when the results of the subsearch are relatively small, for example, 50,000 rows or less. ![]() ![]() Sometimes nudity can communicate more than words. ![]() "I think an artist who chooses to use nudity is trying to communicate something. "Maybe a naked male is threatening, maybe it's fear, or homophobia," he said. Nicola, by contrast, argues that there is no such thing as gratuitous nudity. "It is when people - actors, producers, theatergoers - are unwilling to admit that truth that its merit, or lack thereof, becomes a hot topic." Jason Butler Harner, an actor who has appeared nude onstage five times, most recently in Jon Robin Baitz's "Paris Letter," said: "There is no question that nudity has been used to try to artistically justify a false moment, or to cover up mediocre playwriting or, more commonly, to sensationalize a play to get people in the seats. Of course, sensationalism and sales can never be far from the topic of public nudity. Frears, who recently directed "Terrorism" by the Presnyakov Brothers (in which half the cast was nude) off Broadway, was referring to Richard Greenberg's celebrated play, about a gay professional baseball player, with a nearly 10-minute all-male shower scene. Will Frears, a director, said, "There seems to be a lot of it about - the 'Take Me Out' revolution." Mr. "I think you could say that gay people coming out of the closet has paralleled the arrival of the penis onstage," said James Nicola, artistic director of the New York Theater Workshop. Terrence McNally's 1994 play "Love! Valour! Compassion!" about the relationships of six gay men contained a memorable scene in which the cast went skinny dipping. But by the mid-90's, off the momentum of the gay revolution, theaters began to produce plays that took a full-frontal view of gay sexuality. In the 80's, onstage nudity even started to seem a bit passé. In the 1960's and 70's, American theater saw a surge of equal-opportunity stripping. Of course nudity onstage is no longer anything shocking in and of itself. In a count of the nude bodies seen in those shows, 40 or so belonged to men, and only about 10 belonged to women. "I was just saying to a friend recently, what's with all the male frontal nudity, especially the last couple seasons?" said Marin Ireland, a busy Off Broadway actress who has been entirely naked onstage twice.Īn informal examination of Broadway and Off Broadway shows and a survey of longtime theater industry people showed that over the last 15 years, there have been about 25 plays with full frontal nudity. In the last decade, though, nudity on and off Broadway has taken a decided turn for the male. ![]() ![]() ![]() Seagate SeaTools 1.2.0.
